Steps

1. Now you have activated your account on Gimee, you now want to post your ad. On the menu tabs located at the top left of the screen just under the website logo, you will see a "post ads tab" You need to click on this and it will take you to another screen. On this screen you will be able to select the category. Just click on the arrow at the right of the box and a drop down menu will appear, scroll through this until you reach the category that describes what you are selling. Once your category has been selected then simply click on the "next" button.
2. The next screen will be where you choose which plan you want for your advert. You can simply select the free ad plan or if you want you can upgrade to a featured or highlighted ad. If you select the free ad, you can always upgrade from within your account at a later date. Once you have selected your plan, click on the choose plan button.
3. On the next screen you will be asked to put in the details for the item you are selling. The first thing is the title. Make sure your title is clear and precise about the item you are selling. The next thing is the description, make sure that you describe your item correctly including condition, whether it works, does it need work done to it etc...., remember with this description you have 100 words to accurately describe your item. Next you need to put in the ammount you want for your item, please remember that you do not need to enter the pound sign, just the number. Next select where you are from, just choose the drop down menu and choose your country and region. You may also want to put in the city or town you are from as this will help when people are searching the website. Finally with this step you need to choose the ad type. The drop down menu will give you two choices, either offered or wanted, choose the one that you want and click on "next step"
4. On this next step you will be asked to upload any photos. You are allowed a maximum of four photos for the free ad plan. Click on the green arrow at the top of the box and it will take you into your own computer. You will need to locate the file where you are storing your photos and select the photo you want. Once this photo is uploaded just repeat this step to upload up to four photos. If you do not have any photos just continue to the next step.
5. The next step is optional. If you would like to upgrade, all you need to do is select the upgrade you would like and continue. If you do not wish to upgrade just click on "Next Step"
6. This is the final step. Review all the information and photos in your ad. If you are happy with your ad then you can approve your ad. To approve your ad you will see to boxes one saying finalize later and the other approve ad. Choose the option that you want. If you want to finalize later, then all you need to do is sign in to your account and activate it when you want.
